HELiOS is a product data management system that can also be used in your company's internal document management. This does not necessarily require that your articles are based on designs, but can also be, for example, purchase articles or resale articles. Especially Office documents as well as E-mails can be managed comfortably in addition to all other file formats by integrating HELiOS PDM in the common Microsoft® Office products. Every article and every document follows its own workflow in HELiOS, including release, and can be easily versioned or derived. This also makes it possible, for example, to archive product descriptions with version accuracy and ensures that there are no invalid duplicates in the company.

As a document management system, HELiOS allows participants in the entire value-added chain targeted access to all documents containing the latest information on their products, but also on their purchased articles, machines or inventory. These data and documents - such as texts, spreadsheets or E-mails - can also be integrated directly into the product model managed with HELiOS via interfaces to Microsoft® Office.
