- The 3D design offers numerous possibilities that cannot be fully exploited with 2D drawing software alone. The result is better visualization, which allows for the timely detection of collisions and thus reduces the effort required for rework.
HiCAD enabled, especially through the modules for steel construction, plant engineering, and sheet metal professional, the extended possibility for 3D design and significantly improved visualization. As a result, collisions were detected in time, and the effort for rework was significantly reduced.
The efficiency and quality of the planning processes were greatly enhanced, which ultimately led to a smoother project execution.
- Challenges
- The view in the two-dimensional space does not provide deeper communication on a visible level, which hinders the understanding of all parties involved in the project and slows down the transition from the design to the execution planning.
