3D facade engineering projects from well-known engineering companies demonstrate that highly complex facade models can be perfectly planned down to the smallest detail in 3D (LOD 400) and used for production control. The presentation will show you what type of CAD system is required for 3D BIM execution planning in facade engineering and which industry-specific features and automatisms should be available so that the responsible engineering company can provide the general planners with the required 3D models. The goal must also be that the CAD system used brings the company a noticeable added value in execution and work planning.
